Donald Stahly Obituary

Donald E. Stahly, 83, of Syracuse, passed away on March 18, at Esthers House Center for Hospice in Elkhart, after a 13 year battle with Parkinsons.

He was born on Aug. 13, 1941 in Elwood, IN to Ralph & Sevilla (Miller) Stahly.

He was a 1960 Bethany High School graduate.

He served as Traffic Manager for Elkhart Products for 30 years, before retiring from Trailer Sales.

He was a member of the Buck Creek Baptist Church in Longs, SC, as well as the Vineyard Community Church of Syracuse.

He was an avid fan of Kansas City Chief, and Notre Dame football.

He enjoyed boating, and spending time on Lake Wawasee.

Most of all, he adored his grandchildren, and greatgrandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Pat Stahly of Syracuse; 2 sons, Bret (Rebecca) Stahly of Goshen, & Kim (Stephanie) Stahly of Goshen; daughter, Dawn (Troy) Rider of New Paris; 4 grandchildren, Kaci (John) Gall, Derreck (Maritza) Stahly, Kelsey (Ben) Jazwinski, & Gavin Rider; and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded by his sister, Janice Yoder.

A Celebration to honor Don's life will be held on Saturday, March 22, at 3 p.m., at Vineyard Community Church, Syracuse.

Pastor Chris Kroger will officiate.

There will be visitation 3 hours prior to the service from noon until 3.

Memorial contributions may be made to Rock Steady Boxing of Michiana "Fighting against Parkinsons"
