Devon W. Miller, age 60, of Nappanee, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Feb. 20, at 12:28 p.m., at Elkhart General Hospital.

Surrounded by his wife, children and dad, he was set free from a nine-month journey with cancer.

Devon was born on Oct. 10, 1964 in Elkhart, to Wayne W. and Martha (Kuhns) Miller.

On May 8, 1985, Devon married Barbara Ann Bender in Bremen.

She survives along with their children, Mari Jo (Lamar) Mullet, Leann (Matt) Bontrager, Vonda (Gary) Schmucker, Brian (Savannah) Miller, all of Nappanee, Matt (Sheila) Miller of New Paris, Myron (Eva) Miller of Nappanee, Laura (Arlin) Hochstetler of New Paris, Diane Miller at home, Marcus (Joyce) Miller of New Paris, Savannah (Special friend, Jerry Fry) Miller and Mikayla (Special friend Marcus Otto) Miller, both at home; 15 grandchildren; his father, Wayne Miller of Nappanee; and two sisters, Kristine (Mark) Hochstetler and Karen (Carl) Chupp, both of Nappanee.

Devon was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Miller; father-in-law, Floyd Bender; and sister-in-law, Marietta Bender.

Devon was a member of the Old Order Amish Church and a buggy builder for 45 years.

Visitation will be held after 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22, and all day, Sunday, Feb. 23, at the family residence, 8879 N 900 W, Nappanee, IN 46550.

A funeral service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 24, at the Ryan Slabaugh residence, 8903 N 800 W, Etna Green, IN 46524. Home Ministry of the Old Order Amish Church will officiate; and burial will take place in Graber Cemetery, Etna Green.
