Goshen, IN - Debra A. Mueller, 70, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, May 29, surrounded by the love of family.
She received compassionate care through Center for Hospice Care, which allowed her to spend her final days in comfort and familiarity.
She was born Oct. 24, 1954 in Manitowoc, Wisconsin to Floyd & Ann (Cherney) Kluba.
She married Steve Mueller on Jan. 21, 1978 in Manitowoc, Wisconsin.
Survivors include her husband, Steve; a daughter, Erin (Aaron) Warkentin, Plainfield; and two siblings, Barbara (Chuck) Rue, Washington and Mark (Tammy) Kluba, Manitowoc, Wisconsin.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Steve Kluba.
Debra graduated in 1972 from Lincoln High School in Manitowoc, Wisconsin.
In 1973, she furthered her education at the Wisconsin College of Cosmetology in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
Throughout her life, she exemplified a spirit of service and care.
As a beautician for Merle Norman Hair Salon, she brought joy and confidence to her clients, always offering a listening ear and a skillful touch.
Her precision and compassion as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) highlighted her commitment to helping others in their times of need at Fountain View, where she also served as unit secretary.
However, it was at Goshen Community Schools that her true impact shone brightly. For many years, she nourished not only the bodies but also the spirits of generations of students and staff, creating a welcoming and cheerful environment in the school cafeteria, where she retired after 25 years of service.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 3, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen.
Cremation will follow after the visitation at Yoder-Culp Crematory.
