Goshen, Indiana - David Ogle, age 75, passed away on Dec. 24, in Indianapolis.

Dave was born on June 1, 1950 to Theodore and Donnabelle Ogle and lived his entire life in Goshen, a community he deeply loved and proudly served.

He was a graduate of Goshen High School, where he met his high school sweetheart, Susan (Elder) Ogle.

They were married in 1971 and shared a lifetime of love, partnership, and family.

Dave is survived by his beloved wife, Susan; his children, Erin (Jamie) Haskett, Kyle (Sara) Ogle, Mason (Erica) Ogle, and Nick (Megan) Ogle; his grandchildren, JD and Will Haskett, Kaleb Nine and Abigail Ogle, Eme and Ellie Ogle, and Jack Ogle; as well as his four siblings.

Being a husband, father, and grandfather was the greatest joy of his life, and he especially loved cheering on his grandchildren at their sporting events and activities.

Dave was passionate about making Elkhart County an exceptional place to live and work.

His career began in sales at The Goshen News before moving to The Elkhart Truth, where he eventually served as publisher. He concluded his professional career at the Economic Development Corporation of Elkhart County, continuing his lifelong dedication to community growth.

Dave and Sue cherished traveling together to Marco Island and boating on Lake Wawasee. He also loved building and creatingtinkering with train sets, painting, and renovating his home. His hands were rarely idle.

Known for his storytelling and friendly spirit, Dave truly knew no stranger. He and Sue spent many years riding their tandem bicycle all over Goshen. More recently, he could often be found walking or biking throughout Elkhart County or the University of Notre Dame campus.

Services will be held at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home in Goshen on Saturday, Jan. 3, with visitation from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.

A service will follow at 1 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Boys and Girls Club of Goshen.
