Cleo Anglemyer (Kay) Obituary
Goshen, Indiana - Cleo Kay Anglemyer passed away peacefully on March 27th in Goshen IN surrounded by her husband and children. She was diagnosed with metastatic cancer just 5 weeks earlier and thankfully was spared a long and painful battle. She most often went by Kay or CK.
Kay was born April 21st, 1955 in Cincinnati OH to Roscoe and Martha Zeller Hygema. On March 5th, 1988 Kay married Glen Anglemyer Jr. She is survived by Glen, along with children, Brandy (Ethan Mitchell) Nichols, Bryan (Katie Crowder) Nichols and Ashley (David) Umbarger, 3 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and brother Richard Hygema. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Nancy, and brother Fred.
Kay loved her family and friends dearly and cherished every moment spent with them and always wanted to make every experience a special one even if was just a casual get together. Her house had to be spotless and her cleaning obsession was a constant source of joking with her. She was always fun and easy to talk to and many of the people she came to know would also become her friends. And she could dance. If it had a beat, she would be out on the floor shaking it down. She had a passion for fishing and often talked of working in her father's bait shop in Cincinnati from a young age. Whether it was bowling, horseshoes, cornhole or any other game, she had a competitive nature. She also loved her Cincinnati sports teams and the Ohio State Buckeyes and she was proud to make sure you knew where her roots were. Often times you could find her hanging with her cousins over a cold beer. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and volunteered to help with many of their events.
Kay will be missed by so many, including her dog Luke, that she loved and was a great companion to her. And though we all feel the tremendous loss in our lives, we know that Heaven has welcomed her and eased all her suffering.
Per her request a cremation will take place. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date. The family asks that any contributions, in lieu of flowers, be made to Center for Hospice Care, who were wonderful and compassionate in helping with her care. Those can be sent to 501 Comfort Pl, Mishawaka, IN 46545. If you wish to leave the family an online condolence, please visit the Rieth Rohrer Ehret, www.rrefh.com.
