Goshen, IN - Cindy Mae Sheley, 79, died on Monday, August 3, surrounded by her family at Greencroft Healthcare.

She was born on Feb. 15, 1947 in Louisville, Kentucky to Henry and Betty (Merideth) Carnes.

On Feb. 14, 1993 she married Vernon W. Sheley.

He survives along with children, April Lawson, Cromwell, Autumn (Michael) Williams, Goshen, Robert (Michele) Davis, Mishawaka and Michael (Joy) Davis, Goshen; stepdaughters, Penny Farthing, Goshen and Tammy (Rick) Stauffer, Jendon Beach, Florida; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Cindy is also survived by siblings, Hank Carnes, Karen Nash, Brenda Brooks, Phillip Estes and John Estes, all of Kentucky.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Benny Louis Davis; stepfather, Henry Estes; brothers, David Carnes and Randell Carnes; and sisters, Sue Laws and Nora Laws.

Cindy was a long-time employee of Parker Hannifin Inc., formerly known as Goshen Rubber, spending the last 20 years of her employment in management.

A member of Church of God, Cindy enjoyed singing and teaching children Sunday School.

Cindy especially loved spending time with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday August 7 from 3 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen, where a 10 a.m. Saturday, August 8 funeral service will be conducted. Pastor Peter Ramie will officiate.

Burial will follow at Clinton Union Cemetery, Goshen.
