Christopher R. Wolfe, 61, of Bristol, died at home Thursday, March 18, 2021.

He was born March 2, 1960, in Elkhart, to Paul L. and Jewell (Reader) Wolfe.

He graduated from Westview High School, the University of Evansville (where he served as the captain of the tennis team), and earned an MBA from IUSB in South Bend.

He was married to Karen Jones who preceded him in death on July 21, 2019.

For many years, Chris was a respected area banker. He joined St. Joe Valley Bank in 1981 as part of its Management Trainee program. During his years there he served in various leadership roles and provided guidance though multiple bank mergers. In 2005, he joined Goshen Community Bank and served as its chief credit officer until his retirement.

Chris previously served as an Oaklawn Foundation Board member as well as a member of the Elkhart Chamber of Commerce Business Recognition Council for many years. He was also a dedicated member of the Noon Optimist Club.

Chris was an avid fisherman and could be found on the water all around Michiana. He was passionately involved with the local 4H fishing program as well as playing in the local Beatles tribute band "Bad Apple."

He is survived by three siblings, Cathy (Mike) Miller of Dripping Springs, Texas, Nancy (Jim) Baldwin of Scottsdale, Arizona, and Stephen (Cindy) Wolfe of Eden Prairie, Minnesota; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home, Elkhart, is entrusted with his care.
