Goshen, IN - Charlotte Rebecca Martin, age 92 of Goshen, IN, died on Tuesday evening, June 30, 2026 at her residence. Charlotte was born on June 12, 1934 to Ephraim and Katie Leah (Blosser) Lahman. She has lived in the Goshen area since her marriage to Marion M. Martin on June 27, 1954. He preceded her in death on November 23, 2000. Charlotte accepted Christ as her Savior as a youth and was a member of the Fairview Wisler Mennonite. Charlotte helped Marion throughout their lives, working together as owners of Country Customs Slaughterhouse in New Paris and Martin's Fruit Market, ran out of their home. She enjoyed cleaning and appreciated flowers. Charlotte loved fellowship; she enjoyed visiting with family and friends. She is survived by 8 children: Roland (Elizabeth Ann) Martin of New Paris, Richard (Dawn) Martin of Bridgewater, VA, Phyllis (Lowell) Heatwole of New Paris, Erma Martin of Goshen, Jerry (Ellen) Martin of Sandusky, MI, Rosalie (Michael) Hershberger of Greenville, VA, Joyce (Wayne) Troyer of Staunton, VA, and Orlin Martin of Muncy, PA; daughter-in-law, Linda Martin of Goshen; 43 grandchildren; 102 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson; 4 step great grandchildren; and 4 step great great grandchildren. Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, David Martin, daughter-in-law, Pamela Martin; great grandson, Karter Heatwole; 4 brothers: Wilmer Layman, John Lahman, Lester Lahman, and Roy Lahman; and 2 sisters, Ruth Martin and Anna Martin. Visitation will be held at the Yellow Creek Reception Center (64896 Co Rd 11, Goshen, IN 46526) from 1-4 pm and 6-8 pm on Friday, July 3, 2026. A funeral service will be held at Yellow Creek Wisler Mennonite Church at 10 am on Saturday, July 4, 2026. Home Ministries of the Wisler Mennonite Church will officiate and burial will be in the Yellow Creek Frame Cemetery. Memorial Contributions in Charlotte's name can be given to Christian Aid Ministries. Arrangements are with Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Wakarusa, IN.
