Charles was a fixture of the local business community, dedicating over 40 years of his life to Montieth Tire. For more than 25 of those years, he served as the Store Manager, his dedication to his work was a testament to his character and his commitment to serving others.

Charles was a man of many interests; he especially had a deep love for baseball. He found peace and fulfillment in his garden, and he had a keen eye for hidden gems, always enjoying a weekend trip to the flea market to see what treasures he could find.

He enjoyed fishing and spending many quiet hours by the water. He loved to square dance, especially two-stepping or flat footing at the County Cabin in Norton, Virginia, a tradition that brought him great joy and connection to his roots. His greatest joy was spending time with his precious family, most of all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will take place at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Friday, January 2, 2026 from 10 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral service.
