Betty J. Hampton, 76, died Thursday, February 27, 2025 at Valley View Health Care, Elkhart.
She was born October 21, 1948 in Missouri to Bud Roland and M. Ann (Jackson) McBride.
Betty married James "Jimmy" Hampton in March 1967. He died September 10, 2013.
She is survived by a son David (Lisa) Hampton, Goshen; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Other survivors include seven sisters, Sue Dotson, LaRue (Terry) Hamilton, Kathy (Brian) LaBonte, Brenda (Greg) Coultier, Debbie McBride, Patty (Dean) Miller and Sarah (Jim) Southern; and four brothers, Mike (Janet) McBride, Bill (Sylvia) McBride, Larry McBride and Jerry (Susan) McBride.
Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a grandson, Taylor Drew Ray, son, Jared Hampton and brothers David and James "Corky" McBride.
Mrs. Hampton worked in human resources in the manufacturing industry.
Visitation will be Friday, March 7, 2025 from 10:30 a.m. until the 12 p.m. funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.
Cremation will take place at Yoder-Culp Crematory.
