Bernard Austin Hogan, 89, Goshen, died at 8:20 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, at Goshen Hospital.

He was born Jan. 12, 1936, in Marion County, to Warren B. & Julia Agnes (Sowers) Hogan.

On Feb.10, 1957, he married Lois Ann (Frantzreb) Hogan; and she died May 16, 2020, after 63 years of marriage.

Surviving are a son, Dwayne (Katherine Hendrickson) Hogan, Goshen; grandchildren, Troy Hogan, Michael Hogan, Matthew Myers, Amber Hogan, Robert Hogan; several great-grandchildren; and a sister, Elsie McFarland.

Preceding him in death are his parents; wife, Lois; daughter, Sherry Myers; son, Timothy Hogan; and a half-brother.

Bernard was the green superintendent at Maplecrest County Club, Goshen and several other golf courses in Indiana.

He was an avid golfer and had 4 holes in one.

Bernard was very honest and loyal.

Family and friends may meet in the parking lot at Rieth Rohrer Ehret Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Goshen, at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 14, and go in procession to Violett Cemetery for a graveside service at 11 a.m.

Goshen Hospital Chaplain, Twilla Epp-Stutzman, will officiate.
