Barbara Kay Wuthrich


Barbara Kay Wuthrich, 69, Milford, went home to be with the Lord Aug. 22 at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
Barb was born May 14, 1950, in Bremen, the daughter of Russell and LaVerne (Zellers) Swank.
She married Dennis Wuthrich June 21, 1975. He survives.
Born and raised in the area, Barb was a graduate of Bremen High School in 1968. Barb was a longtime member of The Milford First Brethren Church, the Red Hat Society, Columbian Reading Circle, the Friends of the Library and a longtime member of the NWTA (North West Territorial Alliance) reenacting group. She was involved with the Supper Club Bible Study, enjoyed crafting, sewing and gathering around campfires with family and friends. She loved her family and never knew a stranger. She touched the lives of many people in the community and will be dearly missed by them all.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Dennis, Milford; her children, Dawn (Todd) Mikel, Syracuse, Karin (Dave) Clark, Florence, Oregon, Dan (Julie) Wuthrich, New Paris, Renee (Travis) Schlabach, Syracuse; seven grandchildren, Brook, Colin, Darin, Matthew, Lauren, Harmony and Chloe.
Barb was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Diana Kuehl; and a grandson, Brendon Wuthrich.
In accordance with the family's wishes, cremation will take place with a celebration of life to be held at a later date.
Memorial donations may be given to The Milford First Brethren Church.
Mishler Funeral Home and Cremation Center is entrusted with the care of Mrs. Wuthrich.
