Elkhart, IN - Anna Knepp, 94, formerly of Bristol, passed away peacefully at 2:33 p.m., on Saturday, July 26, at Harmony of Elkhart.

She was born on March 1, 1931, in Fayette County, IA, to Martin Sr. and Lydiann (Yoder) Bontrager.

Her parents and family then moved to Elkhart County in 1942 from the Kalona, Iowa area.

On April 2, 1950, in Goshen, she married Karol L. Knepp. He died August 26, 2022.

In 1952, she and her husband moved to Bristol to start their farming career.

In 1955 they purchased the "Home Farm", that is still in the family.

Surviving are daughter, Karen Wharton of Sarasota, FL; son, Ronald (Peggy) Knepp of Goshen; two granddaughters, Stephanie Michel of Bristol, and Carmen (Mike) McGraw of Goshen; step-granddaughter, Tanya (Scott) Miller of Goshen; three step-grandsons, Steve (Pam) Vail of Millersburg, Doug Vail of Goshen, Rick Vail of Newport News, VA; five great-grandchildren, 12 step-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jonas Bontrager of Granger, and Marty Bontrager of Shipshewana.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; seven brothers, Edward, Tobias, Allen, John, Joe, Marvin, and Ruben Bontrager; two sisters, Barbara Bender, and Elva "Sammi" Rieff.

Anna loved hosting family reunions at the farm and working on the farm with her husband.

She enjoyed photography and was a woman of strong faith, praying for her family daily. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, 1003 South Main Street, Middlebury. There will also be one hour of visitation prior to the 11:00 a.m. funeral service on Wednesday July 30, at the funeral home. Services will be conducted by her nephew, Pastor Ron Bontrager.

Burial will be in Clinton Union Cemetery, Goshen.
