Wesley Lee Wisler, 86, Shipshewana, died Sunday, June 4, at his home.
Mr. Wisler was born Aug. 2, 1930, in Nappanee, to John and Goldie (Herr) Wisler.
Mr. Wisler was a graduate of Goshen High School. He retired as a lumber inspector with Indiana Wood Products in Middlebury. He was a member of the First Church of God in LaGrange and enjoyed trottingbred racing.
Mr. Wisler was a United States Army veteran who served during the Korean War.
On Jan. 5, 1952, in Ozark, Alabama, he married Esther Beachy. Mrs. Wisler survives in Shipshewana.
Also surviving are three daughters, Rebecca Franks, of Shipshewana, Jennifer Sheley of LaGrange and Amanda Wisler of Shipshewana; a son, Timothy Owen Wisler of Silverton, Oregon; six grandchildren, Clint Farmwald of LaGrange, Jared Nelson of Shipshewana, Chelsea Farmwald of Atlanta, Georgia, Aubrey (Lee) Kilgore of Shipshewana, Eliza (Jason) Johnson of Howe and Kyle (Taleasha) Sheley of South Bend; two great-grandchildren, Evan Arthur Sheley and Colin Wes Sheley; and two sisters, Karen Wisler of Sheridan and Arlene Pierson of Indianapolis.
His parents and two brothers, Galen and Ted Wisler, preceded him in death.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 8, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Frurip-May Funeral Home, 309 W. Michigan St., LaGrange.
Funeral services will take place Friday, June 9, at 10 a.m. at the First Church of God, 777 N. Detroit St., LaGrange. The Rev. Ben Stuckey will officiate the service. A graveside service is set for 1 p.m. at Scott Cemetery in rural Shipshewana.
Memorial contributions may be made to LaGrange County Clothes and Food Basket.
