Scott's Story

Scott Lambert, 49, South Bend, died Thursday, May 18 at his home.
He was born Jan. 18, 1968, in Goshen, to Louis and Belva (Berkey) Lambert Sr.
He is survived by his mother, Belva Belcher, Goshen; five children, Joey (Tori) Lambert, Cheyenne Lambert and Skyler Lambert, all of Goshen, Jason (Brett) Stanfill and Joshua (Jessica) Hershberger, both of Elkhart; 12 grandchildren; a brother, Louis (Tamyra) Lambert Jr., Middlebury; and a sister, Tracie Lambert, Goshen.
Along with his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Alan Freeze.
Scott worked as a heating and cooling technician and was a member of the Goshen Moose. He raced at New Paris Speedway and enjoyed NASCAR racing, riding his Harley, camping, bonfires and fishing. He also enjoyed time with family, especially building and racing remote-control cars with his grandchildren.
Scott was a beloved family member and friend. He will be missed by all.
Cremation will take place at Yoder-Culp Crematory, Goshen.
A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 10, at Grace Community Church, Goshen, with visitation beginning one hour prior to the service.
