Ruby F. Hostetler, 101, passed away Monday, April 24, at Greencroft Goshen Health Care.
She was born July 16, 1915, near Middlebury, to Orla and Anna (Coffman) Kalb.
Her father died when she was 6 months old and her mother died when she was 6 years old. Ruby was raised by her maternal grandparents, Daniel and Sarah Coffman.
On April 14, 1934, she married Clifford E. Hostetler in Topeka. He died Aug. 20, 2008.
She is survived by a daughter, Marilyn (Jim) Friesen, Westminster, South Carolina; a son, Clair (Naomi) Hostetler, Goshen; three grandchildren, Craig (Carol) Stephens, Peachtree City, Georgia, Michelle (Tom) Stroup, Millersburg, and Chris (Tracey) Hostetler, Johnston, Iowa; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a half sister, Vesta Stroman.
Clifford and Ruby were lifelong farmers in the New Paris area and members of Waterford Mennonite Church.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, May 1, at Forest Grove Cemetery, Middlebury.
Memorial contributions may be given to Waterford Mennonite Church.
