Patricia Ann McKinney, 94, Goshen, died at 9:35 p.m. Wednesday, June 28, at Goshen Hospital.
She was born April 11, 1923, in Kansas City, Missouri, to George Pritchard and Mabel Beatrice (Heise) Whyte Jr. Patricia was formerly of Park Ridge, Illinois, Brookfield, Illinois and Michigan City.
She married William Stewart McKinney III, June 9, 1946. He passed away Dec. 30, 1998.
Surviving are a daughter, Cynthia Ann McKinney Holtz, Bristol; sons, William Wesley (Gerit) McKinney, Schleswig, Germany, John Stewart (Mary) McKinney, Twin Lakes, Wisconsin, and George Anthony McKinney, Galesburg, Illinois; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; nieces, Lissa Douglas, Houston, Texas, and Pamela Whyte, Arizona; and a nephew, Lance Douglas, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Preceding her in death are her parents; husband; sister, Mary Whyte Douglas; brother, David P. Whyte; and stepmother, Dr. Genevieve Roth.
In 1944, Patricia graduated cum laude from Teachers College, Kansas City, Missouri. She was a member of the Philanthropic Educational Organization of Indiana and past president of the Art League, Michigan City.
She was a homemaker, artist and teacher and a member of the First United Methodist Church, Goshen, where she was active in the United Methodist Women.
A memorial service and burial will take place at a later date.
