Mary E. Troyer, 82, Goshen, formerly of Middlebury, died at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday, July 12, at Courtyard Of Goshen. She had been in declining health for several years.
She was born June 25, 1935, in Sumner County, Kansas, to Eli A. and Ida E. (Miller) Miller.
On Feb. 26, 1956, in Goshen, she married David D. Troyer Jr. He passed away Sept. 11, 1999.
She is survived by her daughter, Norma (Philip) Baugher, Myerstown, Pennsylvania; five sons, Richard (Bonnie) Troyer, Middlebury, David (Martha) Troyer, Mifflinburg, Pennsylvania, Delmar (Nancy) Troyer, Ligonier, Verlin Troyer, Palmetto, Florida, and John (Sheila) Troyer, Goshen; 34 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; sister, Mabel (Jonathan) Stoltzfus, Ephrata, Pennsylvania; two brothers, Mervin (Lola) Miller, LaGrange, and Maynard (Carol) Miller, Goshen.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; granddaughter, Faith Troyer; and great-granddaughter, Hannah Schlabach.
Mary had a great love of reading Scripture and the Daily Bread. She was a homemaker and a Shaklee independent distributor with her husband. She was also a talented artist and enjoyed painting.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 14, and one hour prior to the 10 a.m. funeral service Saturday, July 15, all at Woodlawn Mennonite Church, Goshen. Services will be conducted by the ministry team of Woodlawn Mennonite Church.
Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Goshen.
Memorial contributions may be given to Woodlawn Mennonite Church.
