Mahlon's Story

Mahlon Graber Jr., 58, died Saturday, March 18, at Courtyard Healthcare where he had resided the past two years.
He was born Jan. 25, 1959, in Davis County, to Mahlon and Mattie (Yutzy) Graber.
Survivors include six sisters, Mary Ellen Bateman, Fern (Tim) Sult, Dorothy (James) Gilbert, Magdelena (Kenneth) Stemen, all of Loogootee, Amanda Davis, Goshen, and Joanna (Curt) Yoder, New Paris; two brothers, Delmar (Vera) Graber, Cannelburg, and Marvin (Carolyn) Graber, Loogootee; 26 nieces and nephews; 37 great-nieces and nephews; and four great-great-nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ervin and Ezra Graber.
Mahlon was a longtime usher at Waterford Mennonite Church and member of the Pathfinders Sunday school class.
Friends may call Wednesday, March 22, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and one hour prior to the 11 a.m. funeral service Thursday, March 23, at Waterford Mennonite Church. Pastors Neil Amstutz, Cindy Voth and brother-in-law Kenny Stemen will officiate.
Burial will follow at Elkhart Prairie Cemetery, Goshen.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Courtyard Healthcare or to Yoder-Culp Funeral Home to assist the family with expenses.
