Lydia Mae Miller, 92, of LaGrange, died at 1:52 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 2, at her residence.
She was born on Feb. 13, 1925, in Topeka, to Joseph and Barbara (Hochstetler) Lambright.
On Feb. 14, 1946, in Noble County, she married Albert D. Miller; he died March 25, 2008.
Surviving are five sons, Daniel (Inez) Miller of Shipshewana, Raymond (Christina) Miller of LaGrange, Joe Miller of Middlebury, Ernest (Erma) Miller of Goshen, Ervin (Nettie) Miller of Shipshewana; three daughters, Barbara Frey of Topeka, Mary (Freeman) Bontrager of Millersburg, Clara (Elvie) Frey of Shipshewana; 53 grandchildren; 165 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Andy Kurtz of LaGrange; two sisters, Sarah Jane Yoder of LaGrange, Katie (Bob) Biggs of Bonita Springs, Florida; brother, Ernest William (Clair) Lambright of Atlanta, GA; sister-in-law, Sue Lambright of Goshen. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Susie Kurtz; son, David Miller; son-in-law, Richard Frey; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Levi Lambright; three sisters, Alma Stambaugh, Celesta Mast and Susie Ellen Yoder. Lydia was a homemaker and member of the Old Order Amish Church. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 3, and all day Monday, Sept. 4, at the family's residence, 3550 West 400 South LaGrange. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 5, at the same residence. Services will be conducted by Bishop LeRoy Troyer and the home ministers. Burial will be in Miller Cemetery, LaGrange. Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, Middlebury, is in charge of arrangements.
