Lucinda Rose Woolley, 55, died at 11:07 a.m. Saturday, April 8, at her residence.
She was born Aug. 16, 1961, in Elkhart County, to William R. and Rosealene (Metzler) Long.
Surviving are two daughters, Talya Miller and Adria Kupeerus, both of New Paris; two sons, Brian Miller of LaGrange, and Cortney Miller of Wolcottville; nine grandchildren, Alyssa Miller, Keon Miller, Hailey Miller, Dalton McKibbin, Gavin McKibbin, Paizlee Carpenter, Lexin Kupeerus, Xander Kupeerus and Memphis Kupeerus; her mother, Rosealene Long of Middlebury; and a brother, Charles Long of Goshen.
She was preceded in death by her father; and brother, Richard M. Long.
Lucy enjoyed cooking for others, sunsets and living by the water. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren. Some people recognized her by the name "Desi".
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 18, followed by a 7 p.m. memorial service at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, 1003 S. Main St., Middlebury. A private burial at Grace Lawn Cemetery in Middlebury, will take place prior to the service. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Harlan Steffen of Syracuse.
In Lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Boat-in Worship Service of Syracuse.
