Linda's Story

Linda Mae Miller, 57, Ligonier, passed away at home Saturday morning, May 6, at 1:50 a.m., following a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on July 23, 1959 in LaGrange, the daughter of Melvin Lee and Mary Ellen (Bontrager) Mullet, and was a member of the Old Order Amish Church. On May 29, 1980, she married Ernest Lee Miller, who survives.
Also surviving are their children, Loretta Jean Miller at home; Dale Devon (Barbara) Miller, Millersburg; Lavern Dean Miller; David Wayne (Kristine) Miller, Topeka; Lonnie Gene Miller, Daryl Lee (Connie) Miller, Gerald Ray (Sharon) Miller, Waneta Fern (Luke) Miller and Allen Jay Miller, all of New Paris; Susie Ellen Miller and Robert Lyn Miller both at home; seven granddaughters; three grandsons; her mother, Mary Ellen Mullett, Topeka; seven sisters, Eva (Perry) Yoder, Shipshewana; Waneta Mullett, Millersburg; Kathryn (Glen) Lehman, Shipshewana; Lorene (Vernon) Miller, Ligonier; Amanda Mullett, Shipshewana; and Ida Mullett, Topeka; Five brothers, Larry (Rose) Mullett, Wolcottville; Melvin Jr. (Dorene) Mullett, Millersburg; Alvin (Esther) Mullett, Shipshewana; Dennis (Esther) Mullett, Sturgis, Michigan; and Lonnie (Amy) Mullett, Topeka.
She was preceded in death by her father and a sister, Nola Jean Lehman.
A funeral service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 9, 2017, at the family residence, 1410 W. Union St., Ligonier. Bishop Marlin Fry and the home ministers will officiate. Pall Bearers are Lamar Miller, Glen Miller, Mark Kaufman, Kenny Yoder, Richard Hochstetler and Homer Miller.
Family and friends will be received after 2 p.m. Sunday, May 7, 2017, and all day Monday, May 8, 2017, at the family residence.
Burial will take place at Southside Cemetery, Ligonier.
