Irma Troyer, 95, Shipshewana, died at 4:25 pm on Friday, Sept. 29, at her residence.
She was born May 29, 1922, in Shipshewana to Levi C. and Fannie A. (Beechy) Yoder. On March 31, 1942, in Shipshewana she married Howard H. Troyer. He died Sept. 25, 2003.
Surviving are five daughters, Bonnie Jean (Harvey Jr.) Stutzman, Shipshewana, Winona (Willard) Miller and Dora (Clarence) Wingard, both of Middlebury, Carolyn (Amos H.) Yoder, Shipshewana, and Linda Miller, Middlebury; six sons, Harry Jay (Mary Ellen) Troyer, Shipshewana, Dale (Betty) Troyer, Devon (Rosetta) Troyer and Dennis (Dorothy) Troyer, all of Nappanee, Ernie A. (Loretta) Troyer, Shipshewana, and Paul (Karen) Troyer, Shipshewana; 70 grandchildren; 262 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Edna Miller, Centreville, Michigan, and Mary Gingerich, Goshen.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sisters, Martha Troyer and Barbara Mullet; five brothers, Alvin, Perry, Aaron, Levi and William Yoder; and eight great-grandchildren.
Irma was a homemaker and member of the Old Order Amish Church. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Saturday and all day Sunday at the family's residence, 2125 N. 1100 West, Shipshewana. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at the same residence. Services will be conducted by Bishop Glen Miller and the home ministers. Burial will be in Naylor Cemetery, Shipshewana.
