Fanny Mae's Story

Fanny Mae Taylor, 77, formerly of New Paris, died Saturday, Sept. 9, at Avalon Village.
She was born Jan. 1, 1940, in LaGrange to Levi and Barbara (Fry) Miller.
On May 2, 1970, she married Jerry Taylor in Goshen.
He survives along two children, Sheri (Kim Walker) Taylor and Rodney (Irene) Miller, both of Goshen; two grandchildren, Shelby Gray and Brooklynn Walker; four stepgrandchildren, Neki (Zack) Miller, Mary (David) Proud, John (Jackie) Ripple and Kevin (Alyssa) Silveus; 12 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Leroy (Liz) Miller, Shipshewana.
She was preceded in death by her parents and six siblings, Dan, Amos, John, Ray, Susie Taylor and Mary Wilts.
She worked for Ivy Terrace for 22 years and Syndicate Systems for 19 years, retiring in 2009.
Friends may call Wednesday, Sept. 13, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, where a 1 p.m. Thursday funeral service will be conducted. Pastor Mike Kelley, Word of Truth Ministries, Milford, will officiate.
Burial will follow in Violett Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to Alzheimer's Association.
