Emily L. York, 75, passed away Saturday, April 22, 2017, at Memorial Hospital, South Bend.
She was born Dec. 14, 1941, in Albany, Kentucky, to Theo and Maude (Andrews) York.
Survivors include five daughters, Jeannie (Steve) Dibble, Phoenix, Arizona, Tamara Hendrix and Melissa (Mike) Lantz, both of Goshen, Amie (fiance Eric Eckelbarger) Kyle, Evansville, Wisconsin, and Nicole Lewallen, Goshen; two sons, Paul Edward Hendrix and Steve W. Hendrix, both of Goshen; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Frances Robinson and Lucille Diaz, both of Kokomo, and Patricia York, West Virginia; and a brother, Bill (Ethel) York, Kokomo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Donald and Roy York; and a sister, Jean Keith.
A longtime Goshen resident, Mrs. York was a cosmetologist working at J.C. Penney beauty salon and teaching cosmetology in Kokomo for a couple of years.
She was a member of The Life Center, Goshen.
Friends may call Monday, April 24, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen, where a funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Pastor Brenda Fritz of First United Methodist Church will officiate.
Burial will follow in Violett Cemetery.
Memorial gifts may be given to The Life Center, Goshen.
