David Weaver, 82, died at 8:10 p.m. Sunday, April 9, at his residence.
He was born July 23, 1934, in LaGrange County, to David and Alice (Hostetler) Weaver.
On Jan. 19, 1956, in LaGrange County, he married Martha Ellen Schrock. She survives.
Survivors in addition to his wife are two daughters, Mary Etta (Ben) Mullet of Milford, and Vera (Steve) Chupp of Goshen; four sons, Verlyn (Deborah) Weaver of Topeka, Wilbur Weaver of Howe, David Weaver Jr. of Topeka, and Maynard (Linda) Weaver of Goshen; 24 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Vernon (Elva) Weaver and LeRoy (Ida) Weaver, both of LaGrange, Freeman (Norma) Weaver of Mesa, Arizona, and Mervin (Joan) Weaver of Nappanee; and two sisters, Mary Jane Bontrager of Shipshewana, and Wilma Weaver of LaGrange.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Darrel Weaver; and brother, Wilbur Weaver.
He was a farmer and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Visitation will be all day Tuesday, April 11, at the family's residence, 8020 W. 050 North, Shipshewana. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 12, at the Calvin Miller residence, 0700 N. Ind 5, Shipshewana. Services will be conducted by Bishop Chris Bontrager and the home ministers.
Burial will be in Yoder Cemetery, Shipshewana.
