Alice R. Ferguson, 81, Goshen, passed away Tuesday evening, April 25, at The Maples at Waterford Crossing.
She was born May 29, 1935, in Notomine, West Virginia, to Hestle and Juanita (Dickerson) Hodge.
On Sept. 6, 1959, she married James Ferguson in Beckley, West Virginia. He died June 3, 2002.
Survivors include a daughter, Darla Hostetler, Elkhart; a son, James Alan (Rosa) Ferguson, Elkhart; four grandchildren, Eric (Jesika) Hostetler, Matt Hostetler, Alex (Ashley Oliver) Hostetler and Alisha Ferguson; and two sisters, Betty (Bill) Fizer and Jackie Rose, both of St. Albans, West Virginia.
In 1953 she graduated from East Bank High School and moved to the area in 1964 from Beckley. She worked as manager for G.C. Murphy, Goshen, for 20 years, retiring in 1992.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Friends may call Friday, April 28, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen, where a 10 a.m. funeral service will be conducted Saturday, April 29. Associate Pastor Davis Webster of Zion Assembly Church of God, Goshen, will officiate.
Burial will follow at West Goshen Cemetery.
