Adelaide's Story

Adelaide V. Disher, 102, Syracuse, passed away at 5:02 p.m. Tuesday, March 28, at her home.
She was born March 25, 1915, in Kendallville, to Fred E. and Florence S. (Wagner) Spencer.
She grew up in Goshen, graduated in 1934 from Goshen High School and moved to Syracuse in 1948.
She was married in December 1951 to W. Lloyd Disher, who preceded her in death in July 1986.
She retired as a secretary for Robert Reed Attorney at Law after many years. She was formerly employed with Steve Hearn Attorney at Law & Penn Controls in Goshen.
She is survived by three daughters, Kay Trenshaw, Goshen, Pat (Steve) Haines and Sue Bailey, both of Warsaw; eight grandchildren; one stepgrandson; and 18 great-grandchildren;
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; great-grandson, Matthew Collier; brother, Hugh "Bud" Spencer; stepdaugther, Marcia Shipcott; and stepgrandson, Clifford Shipcott Jr.
Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. Ind. 15, Warsaw. Private family graveside services will take place at Syracuse Cemetery.
Preferred memorials may be made to an agency of the donor's choice.
