Vivian Idella Browning, 95, of Goshen, passed away Thursday, Feb. 28, in Elkhart.
Vivian was born Jan. 28, 1924, in New Paris, to Ward Linden Hamilton and Dorothy Mae Stingel. Vivian is preceded in death by her parents; sisters Joyce Venetta Hamilton and Bernadine Irene (Hamilton) Roose; a brother, Ward Linden Hamilton Jr; daughters Sharon Kay (Hershberger) Dinkel, Nancy Lee LeCount; stepdaughter Ida Mae (Hershberger) Netterour; and great-grandson Alec Robertson.
Vivian is survived by husband Bobby Browning; five sons, Bobby LeCount, Terry Hershberger, David (Betty) Hershberger, all of Goshen, Scott Hershberger, Bradley Hershberger, both of Elkhart; three daughters, Kathy Bowers of Topeka, Kelly (William) Madison of Goshen, and April (Douglas) Penn of Elkhart; stepsons Ronald (Jean) Hershberger of Goshen, Charles Hershberger of Texas, Hubert Hershberger of Ligonier, Larry (Karen) Hershberger of Elkhart; sister Edna Mae (Hamilton) Looney of Goshen; 44 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Vivian was a devoted homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother. She was known for her outstanding cooking and her ability to make everyone she met feel like part of her family. She will be missed by many.
Burial will take place at Oakridge Cemetery, Bristol.
