Violet I. Haines, 89, Goshen, died at 2:20 p.m. Monday, Jan. 29, at Goshen Hospital.
She was born Sept. 15, 1928, in Goshen, to Harris L. and Edith Marie (McAlavev) McManus.
On Aug. 15, 1948, she married Lewis H. Haines.
Surviving are her husband, Lewis H. Haines, Goshen; daughters, Diane (John) Bailey, Logansport, Charlotte (Harry) Dolinski, Vermilion, Ohio, Kendrae (Matt) Hilty, Nappanee; sons, Alan (Judy) Haines, Goshen, Brett (Mari) Haines, Elkhart; sister Jan Yoder, Goshen; 13 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Harris and Edith McManus; brother-in-law, Verlo Yoder; and grandsons, Jason and Cody.
Violet was a member of Beulah Missionary Church, Goshen. She previously worked as an office manager for Haines & Haines.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2, at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Goshen and one hour prior to the 2 p.m. service Saturday, Feb. 3, at Beulah Missionary Church, 57595 Old C.R. 17, Goshen. Pastors Bryon Smith and Earl Smith will officiate.
Burial will take place at Olive (West) Cemetery.
