Twila Fern (Zimmerman) Weaver, 36, Wooster, Ohio, was welcomed into her Heavenly home at 1:20 p.m., June 9, after a two-year courageous battle with cancer.
She was born near Nappanee Jan. 19, 1983, to Glen and Barbara (Martin) Zimmerman.
She accepted Christ as her personal Savior in her youth and was a faithful member of the Chester Christian Fellowship at the time of her death.
On July 22, 2006, she was united in marriage to Lonnie Weaver, Wooster, Ohio, where she made her home for almost 13 years.
In addition to her husband and parents, Twila is survived by two sisters, Glenda (Daryl) High, Nappanee, and Stephanie Zimmerman, Myerstown, Pennsylvania; brothers, Jeff (Lydia) Zimmerman, Nappanee, and Luke (Hannah Lucas) Zimmerman, Goshen; and her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Daniel and Katie Martin and Maynard and Catharine Zimmerman; and one niece, Breanna Joy Weaver.
Twila was a teacher at Pine View School, near Wooster, Ohio, for more than three years. She enjoyed being a homemaker, gardening and helping her husband on the farm. She wasn't granted the blessing of being a mother but she had a special gift of mothering nieces, nephews and blessing many other children.
The visitation will take place from 1-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, June 13, with a 10:30 a.m. funeral service Friday, June 14, all at the East Union Mennonite Church, 10678 Old Lincolnway East, Orrville, Ohio. Home ministry will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Chester Mennonite Church Cemetery, 4730 Rutt Road, Wooster, OH 44691. Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton is handling the arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be given to Chester Christian Fellowship Church.
