Todd Gingerich, Indianapolis, passed away peacefully Saturday, surrounded by his family at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis, after a brief illness.
Todd was born Aug. 29, 1972, in Goshen, to parents Marlene and Stan Gingerich. In 1991, he graduated from Goshen High School and went on to study art, music, and German at Goshen College. Todd was also a German exchange student.
Todd married his wife, Sylvia (Boone) Gingerich in 2001 and they have three amazing children together, Jasper, Corgan and Mason.
Todd is also survived by brother, Christopher (Anamaria) Gingerich, Goshen; sisters, Tara (Andy) Hathaway and Karie Gingerich, both of Indianapolis, and Kayla (Jennifer) Gingerich, Goshen; and brother, Jordan Gingerich, Indianapolis. He was also the uncle of 16 wonderful nieces and nephews.
Todd worked in the beer, wine and spirits industry for the past six years and especially enjoyed sharing his knowledge of craft beers with others.
He was an artist and a musician. He was a traveler, yet found great comfort and happiness in spending time with his family and friends. He will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend.
There will be a gathering of family and friends Sunday, Jan. 20, from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus No. 1043, 112 E. Lexington Ave., Elkhart.
Cremation with burial will be scheduled for a later date.
