Thomas Joseph Thul, 82, Goshen, died at 1:58 a.m. Monday, March 5, at Greencroft Goshen Health Care.
He was born Oct. 26, 1935, in Davenport Iowa, to Francis "Kelly" and Kathryn (Karsten) Thul.
He married Mary Norma (Moore) Thul Feb. 13, 1960. She died June 30, 2016.
He is survived by children, Mary Kay (Dan) Longacre, Goshen, Kelly (Anita) Thul and Timothy (Jennifer) Thul, both of Bloomington, Illinois; grandchildren, Katie (Scott) Gerke, Rachel and Thomas Longacre, Sarah, Karen, Daniel, David, Andrew Thul; and great-granddaughters, Lucy and Emma Gerke.
Preceding him in death are his wife, Mary; parents; brother, John Thul; and sister, Marjorie Green.
Tom was a high school graduate of St. Ambrose Academy, an Air Force veteran, and was a salesman for Sylvan and Smokercraft boats. He was a lifelong craftsman and a friend of Bill W. for more than 20 years. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, March 8, with a wake service at 3:45 p.m., all at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Goshen.
A funeral Mass will begin at 10 a.m. Friday, March 9, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 417 S. Main St., Goshen. Father Royce Gregerson will officiate.
Burial will be at a later date at Violett Cemetery, Goshen.
