Sharon's Story

Sharon L. Eger, 70, died Monday, May 29, at her home following an extended illness.
She was born Nov. 13, 1946, in Elkhart, to Thomas J. and Martha "Pat" M. (Crowder) Moore.
On Aug. 10, 1965 she married Lester J. Eger at Sugar Grove Church, Goshen.
He survives along with a daughter, Jill A. Eger, Elkhart; three sons, David B. (Anita) Eger, Bargersville, Daniel J. (Robin) Eger, Noblesville, and Jon M. (Abby) Eger, Grand Rapids, Michigan; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Tom (Diana) Moore, French Lick.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A lifelong area resident, Sharon graduated from Wakarusa High School in 1964. She was a loving homemaker and child care provider. Sharon was active in her church communities serving as a Sunday school teacher and nursery caretaker. She was a current member of Wakarusa Bible Baptist Church, and former member of First Baptist Church, for 40 years.
A memorial service will take place at Sugar Grove Church, Goshen at a later date.
Memorial gifts may be directed to Wakarusa Bible Baptist Church or Child Evangelism Ministry of Elkhart or LaGrange counties.
