COLON, Mich. Rudy R. Yoder Jr., age 60 years, 9 months and 1 day, passed away Sunday, May 13, at his home in Colon, Michigan.
Rudy was born Aug. 14, 1957 in Orville, Ohio, a son of Rudy C. and Mattie (Yoder) Yoder.
On Nov. 15, 1979, he married Mary Petersheim in Harmony, Minnesota.
Rudy owned and operated R and R Horseshoeing in Lakeview. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church and enjoyed fishing, hunting and going to auction sales.
Rudy is survived by his wife, Mary Yoder, Colon; two sons, Henry (Ella) Yoder and Reuben (Amelia) Yoder, both of Lakeview; two daughters, Verna Yoder and Katie Ann (Joni) Miller, both of Colon; nine grandchildren, Kristina, Eli, Marvin, Atlee, Henry Miriam, Rudy, Lewis and Andy Detweiler; four brothers, Sam (Emma) Yoder, John Yoder, Enos (Carolyn) Yoder, all of Goshen, Indiana, and Ananias Ray (Mary) Yoder, Middlebury, Indiana; sister-in-law, Ada Yoder of Apple Creek, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ben Yoder; and sister-in-law, Delilah Yoder.
The family will receive relatives and friends after 3 p.m. Monday, May 14, and all day Tuesday, May 15, at the Levi Schmucker residence at 58752 M-66, Centreville, MI 49032.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 16, at 9:30 a.m. at the Levi Schmucker residence.
Burial will follow at the Old Order Amish Cemetery, rural Centreville.
The family was assisted by the Schipper Funeral Home LTD, Colon.
