Ruby J. Yoder


Ruby J. Yoder, 85, of Bourbon, died at 5 a.m., Sunday, June 9, at Elkhart General Hospital, where she had been a patient for two weeks.
She was born Aug. 31, 1933, in Bremen, to John A. and Sarah J. (Miller) Borkholder.
Mrs. Yoder lived in this area her lifetime. She was a homemaker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
On Oct. 17, 1957, she married Albert Yoder in Marshal County. He survives, along with their children, John Earl (Sue) Yoder, Nappanee, Wayne (Emma) Yoder, Bourbon, Robert (Esther) Yoder, Bremen, Mark (Sandra) Yoder, Trout Creek, Montana, Daniel (Doris) Yoder, Bremen, Sarah (Lonnie) Kauffman, Nappanee and Rosemary (Arlyn) Yoder, Etna Green; 51 grandchildren; 45 great grandchildren; sister, Irene (Eli) Lehman, Milford; brothers, Eli (Clara) Borkholder, Bremen, Eddie (Elnora) Borkholder, John Henry (Rosanna) Borkholder, both of Nappanee, Larry (Etta) Borkholder, Milford; sisters-in-law, Mary Ellen Borkholder, Bremen, Sharon Schrock, Montana, and Edna Borkholder, Topeka.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Paul Leroy Yoder; brothers, Roman, Gilbert, Tobias, Leroy Borkholder; sisters, Malinda Bontrager, Katie Yoder; brothers-in-law, Mahlon Bontrager, Levi Yoder; and sister-in-law, Bertha Borkholder.
Family and friends may call Monday, June 10 from 4-8 p.m. and all day, Tuesday, June 11 at the Wayne Yoder Residence, 6066 Beech Road, Bourbon. Funeral services will also be at the Yoder residence, Wednesday, June 12, at 9:30 a.m. Home Ministry of the Old Order Church will officiate.
Burial will be in Weldy Cemetery.
Arrangements are with Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee.
