Rowena J. Duncan Rowena J. Duncan, 78, Nappanee, died at 1:21 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, at Miller's Merry Manor, Wakarusa, after a long illness.
She was born Aug. 16, 1940, in Elkhart, to Howard and Addie (Hill) Linton. Rowena was a lifetime area resident.
On Sept. 1, 1956, she married William Duncan, in Elkhart. He preceded her in death Jan. 27, 1999.
Rowena had worked at Mutschler Brothers in Nappanee for 20 years. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed crocheting.
She is survived by her daughters, Debrah (Randy) Hanes, and Julie (Roel) Escamilla, both of Nappanee; son, Adam (Jodi) Duncan, Goshen; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, James Linton; and sister, Marguerite Linton.
She was preceded in death by a son, Eric Duncan; grandson, Brett Hanes; and brother, Robert Linton.
Family and friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee.
Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 11, also at the funeral home. The Rev. Sam Bennett will officiate.
Burial will be at Union Center Cemetery.

We are very sorry for your family's loss. Though we only knew Rowena 6 short months as she was my mom's roommate, she felt like family. She will forever be in our hearts. She and my mom got pretty close in those short months and would keep an eye on one another. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. God Bless
