Richard  Hostetler


Richard Hostetler, Greencroft, passed away at age 90.
He was born Nov. 10, 1928, in Farmerstown, Ohio, to Atlee and Nettie Hostetler.
He graduated from Goshen College and attended Associated Mennonite Biblical Seminary.
In 1949, he married Helen King. They celebrated 70 years of marriage in May.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert Hostetler; and sister, Anna Hostetler.
He is survived by his wife, Helen; brother, Darrel (Marian) Hostetler; sisters, JoAnne (Nelson) Kilmer and Louise Evans. He is also survived by his children, Marilyn (Don) Jantzi, Jim (Cherlyn) Hostetler, Dave (Laurie) Hostetler, Mike (Heather) Hostetler and Bob (Nur) Hostetler. He had 23 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Richard was a minister for 20 years and had a painting and wallpaper business from 1974-1998. He enjoyed video editing and production, birding, pitching softball and horseshoes, as well as creating photo books for his family.
Richard donated his body to IU Medical Center. Memorial services will be at a later date.

We were in the same class of 1946 at Berlin, OH. Any meeting of class members afterward was started and directed by us. :)
Helen, you have my sympathy. Bev passed back on 5-2-14. May God bless you.
