Rex A. Shriner, 64, New Paris, died Wednesday, Dec. 20, at his home.
He was born July 15, 1953, in Goshen, to Albert and Thelma (Robinson) Shriner.
On July 22, 1978, he married Christy Sweatland. She died Aug. 2, 2014.
Survivors include two daughters, Megan Fuller, Bristol, and Carrie (Joseph) Pippin, New Paris; two grandchildren, Jillian and Greyson Pippin; a sister, Dorothy (Robert) Paul, Plymouth; two brothers, Robert "Bob" (Tami) Shriner, New Paris, and Richard (Colleen) Shriner, Goshen; and a girlfriend, Lisa Lopez.
Along with his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents.
A lifelong area resident, he was a member of the Nappanee Conservation Club. He worked as a product manager for New Paris Telephone for 45 years.
A celebration of his life will take place Thursday, Dec. 28, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Schrock Pavilion, Shanklin Park, Goshen.
Cremation will take place at Yoder-Culp Crematory, Goshen.
