Ray and Nancy Gadson

Ray and Nancy Gadson Ray Gadson, Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, formerly of Middlebury, Indiana, passed away April 20, 2015, in Pennsylvania, after a 15-month battle with leukemia.
His wife, Nancy, died Aug. 19, following a long illness.
They had both retired from Gadson Sales & Service when the business closed in 2006. After nearly 40 years in Ray's home state of Indiana, they moved back to Pennsylvania in 2010 to be closer to Nancy's family.
A memorial service was held for Ray in Pennsylvania at the time of his death, but due to Nancy's poor health, the family was unable to travel to Indiana at that time. Therefore, a celebration of life for both Ray and Nancy Gadson will take place Saturday, Oct. 13, at 1 p.m. at Lima United Methodist Church, Shipshewana, Indiana. Family and friends will be invited to participate in the service by sharing memories and stories and singing along with some of the couple's favorite hymns.
The couple is survived by their daughters, Tammy (Kenneth) Kernyo, Carleton, Michigan, and Julie Persons, Waynesboro; grandchildren, Melodie (Zachary) Barnette, Richmond, Virginia, Ryan (Breanna Walle) Kernyo and Kyle (Summer Jackson) Kernyo, both of Carleton, Michigan, and Brock Persons, Waynesboro; and several brothers and sisters.
In addition to their respective parents, the couple was preceded in death by their son-in-law, Thomas Persons, as well as two brothers and four sisters.
