Paul William Grim

Paul William Grim, 81, Cromwell, passed away Saturday, Nov. 3, at Grey Stone Health and Rehabilitation Center in Fort Wayne.
He was born April 10, 1937, to Charles and Mary (Tagtmeyer) Grim in Fort Wayne.
Paul graduated from Wolf Lake High School in 1955. He worked for Union Local 103 as a heavy equipment operator for more than 40 years. Paul was a member for 51 years of the Cromwell Masonic Lodge and the North Webster American Legion. In 1990, he was the worshipful master of the Masonic Lodge.
Some of his business ventures include the Gizzard Wizzard Concession, Homemade Ice Cream business, Orange Blossom Box and Pallet and building Cheryl her very own unique motorized vehicle.
Within the racing world, he was known as the "Weenie Burner" and the types of cars he raced were sprint cars, late models and midgets. In 2015, he was inducted into the Warsaw Speedway Hall of Fame.
Paul was a very social man and spending time with his family was very important to him. He never missed his grandsons' sporting events. His creative mind, cheerful personality and natural ability to always have a good time will be missed by those who knew him.
Paul is survived by his loving companion of 23 years, Cheryl Wiegman, Fort Wayne; her children, Tricia (Darren) Dunbar and Chad (Caty) Wiegman; son, Adam (Marty) Grim, Cromwell; four grandchildren, A.J. Grim, Taylor Grim, Ashley Dunbar and Zach Dunbar; three great-grandchildren, Celeste Wiegman, Rylann Dunbar and Wyatt Goldsberg; and sister, Mary Reger, St. Clair, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mary Grim, and brother, Chuck Grim.
A funeral service in honor of Paul will take place at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, IN 46767, Saturday, Nov. 10, at 7 p.m. Pastor Joey Nelson will officiate. Cremation committal will take place at the Legacy Cremation and Remembrance Center.
Friends and family may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, as well as from 2 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, at the funeral home.
