Patrick Joseph Makousky Sr.

Patrick Joseph Makousky Sr., 74, Goshen, died at 2:47 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 21, at his home.
He was born Jan. 13, 1943, in Hennepin County, Minnesota, to Roman and Margaret (Wyrzkowski) Makousky.
He married Florence A. (Chamberlin) Makousky Feb. 23, 1963, in Brainerd, Minnesota.
Surviving are his wife, Florence, Goshen; children, Carol Diaz, Goshen, Patrick (Trish) Makousky Jr., Golden, Colorado, Michael (DeeDee) Makousky, New Castle, Wyoming, Jennifer Makousky-Garcia, Middlebury, and Laura (Trevor) Kercher, Goshen; siblings, Marcia Ames, Colorado, and Thomas Makousky, Minnesota; 21 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death are his parents and a brother, Joseph Makousky.
Patrick was an entrepreneur and salesman in Minnesota, had a livery service and was a sergeant in the Minnesota Police Department for 15 years. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and of the Knights of Columbus, 4th degree. He enjoyed fishing, mowing and working.
Visitation will be 5-7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 24, with a Rosary service at 7:30 p.m., all at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Goshen.
A funeral service will begin 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 25, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 417 S. Main St., Goshen. Father Royce Gregerson will officiate.
