Neva P. Kriner, 91, died Saturday, June 24, at Kindred Nursing and Rehabilitation - Valley View, Elkhart.
She was born Nov. 9, 1925 in Core, West Virginia to Arley and Martha Mazella (Moore) Walls.
On Sept. 2, 1949 she married Everett Franklin Swartz in Oakland, Maryland. He died in 1964.
Survivors include three daughters, Judy (Raymond) Dafonzo, Maidsville, West Virginia, Connie Jones, Hagerstown, Maryland and Pam McCarney, Goshen; a son, Jerry (Rita) Swartz, Biglerville, Pennsylvania; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Norene Spitsnogle, McKeysport, Pennsylvania.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings; Oscar, Ottie and Alma Ammons, Learnie, Claude, Tom, Dale, Russell, and Lieuella Walls, Loreene Lightfoot, and an infant sibling in 1916.
Neva worked in the navy yard in Portsmouth, Virginia during WWII assembling ships. She later worked in a factory that made military tanks.
A devout Christian of the Methodist faith, Neva enjoyed gardening and was an excellent cook and seamstress.
Friends may call Thursday, June 29, one hour prior to the 11 a.m. memorial service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen. The Rev. Ed Fritz will officiate.
Cremation will take place at Yoder-Culp Crematory, Goshen.
