Mary Alice Miller, 89, LaGrange, died at 5:40 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15, at her residence.
She was born Oct. 22, 1928, in LaGrange County, to Dan and Anna (Wickey) Hochstetler.
On March 2, 1950, in LaGrange, she married Ora W. Miller. He died Feb. 13, 1979.
Surviving are two sons, Laverne Miller, LaGrange, and Elroy (Rachel) Miller, Shipshewana; five daughters, Barbara Miller, Anna Marie Miller, both of LaGrange, Elsie (Daniel) Hochstetler, Goshen, Ruth (Ed) Kauffman, Mendon, Michigan, Naomi (Vernon) Miller, LaGrange; 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; one stepgreat-grandchild; sister, Edna (Merle) Christner, Shipshewana; brother, John (Katie) Hochstetler, LaGrange; two sisters-in-law, Emma (Levi) Bontrager and Edna Hochstetler, both of Shipshewana; brother-in-law, Ervin (Mary) Miller, LaGrange; foster brother-in-law, Willis Miller, Winterhaven, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Olen Jay Miller; grandsons, Jason Neal Miller and Aaron Jay Miller; three brothers, Daniel Hochstetler, Ervin Hochstetler, Amos Hochstetler; sister, Barbara Yoder.
Mary Alice was a homemaker and member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Visitation will be after 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, and all day Sunday, Feb. 18, at the Alvin Beechy residence, 1475 S. 250 West, LaGrange.
Funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 18, at the same residence. Services will be conducted by Bishop Ray Troyer and the home ministers.
Burial will be at Miller Cemetery, LaGrange.
Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, Middlebury, is in charge of arrangements.
