Mary L. Bentley, Goshen, died at 11:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 29, at the Center for Hospice Care, Elkhart.
She was born March 6, 1945, in Toledo, Ohio, to James and Ethelyn (Fogle) Thomas.
On Feb. 14, 1986, she married Howard J. Yoder. He died Feb. 15, 1990.
She then married Rod Bentley May 17, 1998.
Surviving are her husband, Rod Bentley, Goshen; daughter, Suzette (Brian) Pletcher, Osceola; Suzette's father, Rodger Hunsberger, Goshen; five stepchildren, Rod (Nikkole) Bentley, Arizona, Debra (Bill) Dean, Missouri, Barbara Bentley, Colorado, Kristen (Tim) Rushenberg, Indiana, Ryan (Terra) Bentley, Missouri; sister, Ruth Stammen, Toledo, Ohio; two grandchildren; 21 stepgrandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Howard; two brothers, Phillip and James Thomas.
Mary was a legal secretary for 50 years at Cosentino & Christofeno, Elkhart. She was a member of the Elkhart Luncheon Optimist Club where she was a past president and Optimist of the Year.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2, and one hour prior to the 11 a.m. service, Saturday, Feb. 3, all at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Goshen. Pastor Ruben Chupp will officiate.
Burial will take place at Violett Cemetery, Goshen.
