She was born in Kaiserslautern, Germany, May 17, 1936, to Hermann Schorr and Katharina Hoffmann Schorr.
Martha met Noble Searer Jr. while he was serving in the U.S. Army. They were wed in Wiesbaden, Germany, Dec. 3, 1954. Together they raised three children, ran a farm, traveled the country and Europe, making a lot of wonderful friends along the way.
Martha was a prolific seamstress, crafting swimsuits for many in their community. She enjoyed doing arts and crafts, fishing, swimming, mushroom hunting and playing card games with their friends.
She loved her family, and they loved her and will miss her dearly.
Martha is survived by her husband, Noble, who was a wonderful caregiver when she became ill; daughters, Eveline "Evi" (Kim) Hershberger, Goshen, Indiana, and Michele "Shelly" (Perry) Edblom, Dorchester, Wisconsin; son, Frank (Beth) Searer, Mosinee, Wisconsin; eight grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service for Martha is being planned to take place in May. Details will be published at a later date.
