Marilyn J. Lantz, 85, of Goshen, died Sept. 8 at Greencroft Healthcare in Goshen.
She was born May 19, 1932, in Portland, Indiana, to Russell Q. and Iva Iris (Miller) Steiner.
She graduated in 1950 from Leo High School and attended the Methodist School of Nursing in Fort Wayne.
On Aug. 30, 1953, in Leo, she married James E. "Jim" Lantz, who survives.
She retired May 30, 1994, from Parkview Noble Hospital in Kendallville as a registered nurse. She moved to Syracuse in 1993 from Kendallville and moved to Goshen in May 2011.
She was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church in Syracuse and United Methodist Women.
She is survived by: her husband, Jim Lantz of Goshen; daughter, Ann (Agnes) Lantz of Colorado Springs, Colorado; two sons, Steve (Sheri) Lantz of Anderson and Bill (Kathy) Lantz of Syracuse; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a brother, Griffen (Dorothea) Steiner of New Haven, Indiana.
Visitation will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12, at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, and one hour prior to services on Wednesday at the church.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, at Calvary United Methodist Church, 801 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, with the Rev. Ann Lantz and Pastor David Henry officiating. A private family burial will be at a later date.
