Marcia E. Bontrager, 90, died Monday at Elkhart General Hospital.
She was born July 14, 1927, in Rochester, to Norman and Amelia (Behney) Baldwin.
On Nov. 11, 1950, she married Edward E. Bontrager. He survives along with nine children, Dottie (Gail) Groves, Goshen, Diana (Gary) Cook, Edwardsburg, Michigan, Darlene (Steve) Fanning, Shipshewana, Deborah L. (Vern) Bontrager, Elkhart, Denise (Russell) Jensen, Fort Wayne, Deloris (Craig) Gibson, South Bend, Edward (Tami) Bontrager II, Warsaw, Donna (Tim) Miller, Tucson, Arizona, and Dorene (Merle) Zook, Mount Sidney, Virginia; 28 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Louise Ganshorn; brother, Norman Baldwin II; and grandson, Anthony Zook.
Marcia was a member of Belmont Mennonite Church where she served as an elder and was active in the Mother's Club and prayer group. She worked as a supervisor at Miles Laboratories, Elkhart.
Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 2, from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at Belmont Mennonite Church, 925 Oxford St., Elkhart, followed by an 11 a.m. funeral service. Pastor Russell Jensen, her son-in-law, and Pastor Anna Ruth Hershberger, Belmont Neighborhood Fellowship, will officiate.
