Lowell's Story

Lowell Merlin Weaver, 83, Goshen, died at 2:17 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 20, at Elkhart General Hospital.
He was born Oct. 15, 1934, to Elias and Martha (Ramer) Weaver.
On Oct. 17, 1954, he married Doris B. Martin.
He was a member of the Wisler Mennonite Church.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Weaver; daughters, Charlene (Marvin) Ramer, Nappanee, Elaine (Harlan) Zimmerman, Akron, and Mary Jane Weaver, Goshen; sons, Steven (Sheryl) Weaver, Goshen and Glenn (Ruth Ann) Weaver, Wakarusa; foster sisters, Ruth Haller, Kansas City, Kansas, and Sharon (Dennis) Zimmerman, Goshen; 32 grandchildren; and 85 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; foster sister, Beatrice (Paul) Martin; six grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
Family and friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 21, and 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 22, at Harrison Christian School.
Funeral services will take place Saturday, Dec. 23 at 10 a.m. at Yellow Creek Wisler Mennonite Church. Home ministers of the church will officiate.
Burial will be at Yellow Creek Wisler Mennonite Church Cemetery.
Arrangements are with Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Wakarusa.
