Louise V. Wakley, 76, Goshen, died at 1:15 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 15, at her home.
She was born Feb. 22, 1941, in Salem, to Delbert and Tilda (Davidson) Stidams.
She married Robert VanNess in 1961. He died in 1980.
She later married Dallas Wakley Nov. 22, 1986. He passed away June 28, 2012.
Surviving are a boyfriend, Jon Bontrager, Goshen; daughters, Beth A. VanNess and Roberta S. (Jeff Markin) VanNess, both of Goshen; sons, Warren D. (Lori) VanNess, Millersburg, Michael (Tina) Wakley, Brookville, Florida, Tony (Heather) Wakley, Fishers, and Wayne (Karen) VanNess, Tennessee; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; sisters, Patricia (Kevin) Koher and Billy Jo May, both of Pierceton, and Elisa (Larry) Jones, Syracuse; brothers, AB "Joe" (Mary) Stidams, West Monroe, Louisiana, Don (Sandy) Stidams, Columbus, Ohio, Wayne (Tracy) Stidams, and Dale (Sherri) Stidams, both of South Dakota, and George (Joann) Stidams, North Webster; and a sister-in-law, Sue Stidams, Pierceton.
Preceding her in death are her parents; husbands, Robert VanNess and Dallas Wakley; son, Rex VanNess; granddaughters, Rachel VanNess and Heather Stephens; sisters, Marie Stidams, Vannie Swinehart and Kelly Stidams; and brothers, Jim, Mark, Carl, Brad and Delbert Stidams Jr.
Louise was a homemaker and a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Goshen.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 17, and one hour prior to the 11 a.m. service Friday, Aug. 18, all at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Goshen. Pastor David Hackney will officiate.
